pinhole pictures i took

Some differences that i see in my negative(on the top ) and my positive( which isnt that clear;on the bottom )are:
- the tree is on the oppisite side
-some color shows in the positive
-the picture is alot darker
-basically everything is the same color tone

Negative-noting a image in which the brightness values of the subject are reproduced so that the lightest areas are shown as the darkest.

Negative photograhy-photographic image that reproduces the bright portions of the photographed subject as dark and the dark parts as light areas. Negatives are usually formed on a transparent material, such as plastic or glass. Exposure of sensitized paper through the negative, done either by placing the negative and paper in close contact or by projecting the negative image onto the paper, reverses these tones and produces a positive photographic print.

My negative looks different from my positive because of course the lighest part of the image is the darkest and the darkest part is the lightest. Also because the positive is on the oppsite side from the negative;and that on my positive everything is the same tone of color.

AUTO BIOGRAHY OF WILLIAM KLEIN (GREAT BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAHER )

Klein shot photos for Vogue and other magazines which led him into fashion photograhy. Although Klei has been regonized for alot of things the best thing he should be regonized for is to be regonized as one of the 20th's century most influential photograhers.

The Camera

WORD I DONT KNOW:
Diaphragm-a plate with a hole in the center or a ring that is placed on the axis of an optical instrument, as a camera, and that controls thr amount of light entering the instrument.
Visible spectrum-the range of wavelengths of electromagneticradiation taht is normally visiblefrom 380 to 760 nm
Camera obscura-a darkened boxlike device in which images of external, recaived through an aperture as with a convex lens are exhibited in their natural colors on a surface arranged to receive them:used for sketching, exhibition purposes, ect.
Electromagnetic spectrum-the entire spectrum, consisdered as a continuun, of all kids of electric, magnetic, and visible, radiation, from gamma rays, having a wavelength of 0.001 angstorm to waves havong a wavelength of more than 1 million km.

WORD NEEDED TO DEFINE:

Aperture-also called aperture stop.optics.an opening, usually circular, that limits the quantity of light that can enter an optical instrument

Shutter-a mechanical device for opening and closing the aperture of a camera lens to expose film or the like.

Exposure-the total amount of light received by a photosensitive surface or an area of such a surface, expressed as the product of the degree of illumination.

Depth of field-the range if distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usually a camera lens, thriugh which an object will produce a relatively distinct image.

F-stop-the setting of an ajustable lens aperture, as indicated by an f number

Focal length- the distance from a focal point of a lens or mirror to the corresponding principal plane.

balance

Balance is like kind of looking for a geometric shape in the photo. When you do this you add strong visual contact to the picture. In this photo that i picked, i feel like you can see a goemetric shape in the picture; i think you can see a triangle. This effect gives the photo some shape in a way.

the rule of thirds

In this photo I used the rule of thirds which basically is about giving people space in front of them and also tryng to get them a little of to the side because when you have your subject in the middle of the photogragh it makes the photo boring. This effect gives the photo some interest and space making the subject look like its still moving ..

simplicity

When you have simplicity in your photo you jsut dont want anything distracting a person from your main subject. when you take a photo with simplicity you want your subjecct to have a simple back round; like a sky or just something simple. This effect makes the photo les distracting because when you to many things in your photo peoples eyes get tired trng to look at everthing.

avoiding mergers

When you try avoiding mergers you just dont want anything in the way of your subject or make you r subject have something coming out of them like a tree or an extra hand. Like in this photo above the pole is just in the way of the subject and it really isnt a good photo. The effect of this phot ois trying not to ruin your subject or make them look like a alein with another hand or leg coming out of them.

lines

Lines play an important role in composition. In this photo that i got of the twin towers is great because there is a simple back round.

framing

When you have framing in your picture you give your photo depth. Basically when you do that you want your subject to a frame ( of couse ). The effect of having framing is that it gives you something to really look at and gives you some more interest in the photo.

In this pinhole photo there is a person and action, there is a blur which is the flags and the ferris wheel.I think that some of the picture is soft. This image is not warped at all.

pinhole photograhy ( the ugly one )

This pinhole photo does have action and a blur, the blur is like if there is supposed to be a ghost there or something. There is no focus there st all.To me there is no warp i jsut think that the image came out really blurry.

1st photo shoot ( the bad one )

The reason i dont like this picture is because i really didnt catch her at a right time, and im pretty sure that she might not like it either...well i really dont know. I think the way i can perfect this picture is by trying to wait till she has a good pose...and then ill take the picture. Also the reason i picked this picture is because i think it's kind of funny because it kind of looks like she is eating something thats not even there. Which to me that is bad photograhy.
I like this picture i took of Mannie because i like the way i angled the picutre. Another reason why i like this picture is because of the color of her hair i think it's really cool. The last reason i lie this picture is because for the first time that i use a actual photograher camera this picture didn't come out that bad.
